Films by two Basque filmmakers will be screened in the LLendes section of the Gijón International Film Festival.
Muga deitzen da pausoa directed by Maider Oleaga narrates the meeting of two women in an old house in Donostia that marks the connection between the present and the past, between life and death. One of them is a filmmaker, the other was a Basque pedagogue who died in 1982. Knowledge as a need, the performative as a means. Lurralde Hotzak by Iratxe Fresneda is, beyond a geographical journey, a journey through the images. Landscapes that dialogue with the landscapes already observed in the cinema by Theo Angelopoulos, Bego Vicario, Ruth Hillarp or Wim Wenders.
Llendes will live the world premiere of these two works.
