ProFesTVal will take place from Tuesday 4 September to Friday 7 in the Gasteiz room of the European Conference Center and the Foley workshop will be the only activity aimed at a more youthful audience.
Since its inception, FesTVal has paid special attention to the professional public that has come to the different editions of the week of Vitoria-Gasteiz dedicated to television. However, this year, there will be a special space for younger filmmakers.
Thanks to the collective Pixelatu, on Wednesday, September 5, young people between 10 and 20 years old will have the opportunity to approach the world of professional film sound for two hours.
When we talk about the audiovisual we rarely pay attention to the sound world of the films since the image usually prevails, but a large part of the credibility of a film is based precisely on its sound dimension.
In this workshop we will work on the perception of sound and transform the way in which the viewer usually approaches the movies by inviting participants not only to see the films with different eyes, but to listen to them with other ears as well.
They will dissect all the sounds that make up the band and sound of a film so that whoever participates will learn to listen to a movie in a different way and will be able to create their own soundtrack as a team.
