The Zinema Euskaraz program of the Basque Government strengthens its presence in Araba thanks to an agreement with Laudio Top Zinema

The Zinema Euskaraz program, promoted by the Basque Government through Zineuskadi, reinforces its presence in Araba thanks to the agreement reached with Laudio Top Zinema for the diffusion of its catalog of films. The only movie theater in the Alava area has also decided to also access the Passengers program to the cinema, financed by the Executive and managed by EZAE (Euskadiko Zine Aretoen Elkartea-Association of Cinema Rooms of Euskadi), which will allow it to access to the advantages that this initiative offers.

The Director of Promotion of Culture of the Basque Government, Aitziber Atorrasagasti, today attended the presentation of these agreements, which will ostensibly expand the offer in this cinema. They have been accompanied by Jose Duarte, responsible for DECU Audiovisuales y Cultura, managing company of this room located in Laudioalde Lanbide Eskola; and Alfonso Benegas, president of EZAE. "The Basque Government makes a significant economic effort, through Zineuskadi, to encourage a very significant offer of films in Basque to reach our cinemas. The objective is to reach as many viewers as possible, and this agreement with Laudio's cinema will allow us to bring the Zinema Euskaraz program closer to thousands of people in the vicinity of Aiara and, in general, in Alava, "he said. designated Atorrasagasti. Thus, the Zinema Euskaraz and Pasajeros to the cinema programs will allow the cinema of this town to improve its offer of films and participate in a successful program of discounts for the spectators. The Zinema Euskaraz program allows a selection of films dubbed into Basque each year to be shown to Basque cinemas. An agreement between Zineuskadi and EiTB facilitates the promotion of these films in the media of the public entity, while the collaboration with EZAE ensures that the films promoted within Zinema Euskaraz premiere in the commercial halls. Every year, the Zinema Euskaraz program has a dozen international premieres dubbed into Basque into Euskadi movie theaters, mostly animated films, and has brought cinema in Basque to thousands of spectators. The Basque Government has invested 366,000 euros this year in this program. The fact that the Zinema Euskaraz program has had a limited diffusion in Alava, up to now, is clearly lower than in Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa. Access to Laudio Top Zinema will allow you to strengthen your presence in Araba from next December. On the other hand, EZAE launches every year, in collaboration with the Basque Government through Zineuskadi, the Passengers to the cinema campaign, with the aim of encouraging the consumption of Basque and European cinema, and to boost assistance to cinemas. After the success of the previous two years, this year 59 privately run cinemas integrated into EZAE, including the Laudio room, offer a bonus on the price of tickets to enjoy the best cinema. In 2016 more than 20,000 people enjoyed 12 films at a reduced price. In addition to the Zinema Euskaraz and Bidaiariak Zinemara programs, the Zinegabonak initiative will also arrive this Christmas to Laudio, for the first time. This program is usually held in the three capitals of the Autonomous Community of Euskadi, although this year it will take place in Laudio Top Zinema instead of in Gasteiz. Within this program, different activities are organized for young people and children. The cinema of Laudio, which has a room of 168 seats, was limited to date to offer two weekly film sessions thanks to an agreement with the City Council of Laudio. The municipal programs will now be joined by these two new programs, so that the film sessions, until now limited to Saturdays, will be extended to other days of the week.
