The Lezoko Zinema Txikiak association has prepared a special programme for young people and children that will start at the beginning of autumn (30th September) and end in the middle of spring (17th March).

The screenings are planned for Saturday afternoons, every three weeks, in the Gezala Auditorium. On some Saturdays one film will be shown and, on others, two will be shown, allowing different age groups to be covered on the same day.

The aim of this programme is to encourage young people and children to use the Basque language, while at the same time promoting leisure activities in Basque.  The activity will be free and it will be advertised in various schools across the region, on the office notice board of the Town Council’s Basque Language and Culture Department and on the association’s Facebook page.

The films that they will be able to enjoy includes a long list of global hits: Axel: The Biggest Little Hero, Storks, Paper Planes, The Little Prince, Little Heroes, Kings of Summer, Norm of the North, Laban, the Little Ghost, Zip and Zap and the Captain’s Island, Coconut, the Little Dragon, Step by Step, Pan and Primates of the Caribbean.

This activity is being held thanks to the support of the Zinema Euskaraz programme coordinated by the Zineuskadi office and the collaboration of Lezo Town Council’s Basque Language and Culture Department.
