EZAE joins the European Art Cinema Day on Sunday, October 14

EZAE, the Association of Cinemas of Euskadi, joins the third edition of the European Art Cinema Day, or European Day of Art Cinema, to be held on Sunday, October 14. This initiative, promoted by the CICAE, the International Confederation of Associations of Cinemas of Art and Essay, and by Europa Cinemas, a network of cinemas specializing in the exhibition of European cinema, celebrates European cinema and cinemas, and has the collaboration of more of 600 exhibitors from all over Europe.

EZAE wants to join in this way an initiative that, in consonance with the objectives of the association of Basque exhibitors, highlights the cultural richness of the cinemas and their importance as a meeting place for all citizens. The EZAE rooms will celebrate this festive day by applying a discount on the entry of a European production into theaters.

Since its birth four years ago, the association of cinemas in Euskadi has opted for the promotion of European cinema in its halls by means of discount campaigns such as 'Passengers to the cinema!', Developed thanks to the collaboration of Zineuskadi and the Basque government. This initiative, carried out during the last three years, promoted assistance to European production films by a reduction of two euros in the ticket price.

Participating cinemas
All the partners of EZAE, which add 21 cinemas and 65 theaters in Gipuzkoa, Bizkaia and Álava will join the Art Cinema Day. In particular, three cinema from San Sebastian belong to the initiative: Prince, Antiguo Berri and Trueba; the cinemas of the company Areto: Gran Cinema Zugaza of Durango, Teatro Coliseo de Eibar, Getxo Zinemak, Meatzari Cinema of Muskiz, Torrezabal Cinema of Galdakao, Olalde Aretoa of Mungia, Zalla Antzokia and Zornotza Aretoa of Amorebieta; Golem Alhóndiga and the Multicines of Bilbao, Laudio Top Zinema of Llodio, Usurbe Antzokia of Beasain, Niessen Cinemas of Errenteria and the cinemas of the Hirutek company: Bastero kulturgunea of ​​Andoain, Zelai Arizti aretoa of Zumarraga, Gurea aretoa of Villabona, Oñatiko zinea and the Areria de Lazkao cinema.
